CPPD/Document Management from Cobwebb Communications Ltd. is the comprehensive document management system for IBM System i. It comprises a powerful set of tools that perform two critical processes - The reformatting, distribution and archiving of System i generated documents, combined with archiving scanned images and user generated documents such as emails, spreadsheets, etc.

CPPD/Document Management is a modular software application designed specifically for operating on the IBM System i mid-range server.

CPPD/Document Management Modules:

CPPD/Print - module facilitating PCL, AFP, IPDS, SCS, PDF direct thermal and barcode printing. Utilises IBM's printing strategy, host print transform, etc. for LAN, TWINAX connectivity, etc.

CPPD/Fax- module facilitating faxing from System i - comprehensive system with optional web browser interface.

CPPD/Email - module facilitating email from System i - comprehensive system with optional web browser interface.

CPPD/File - module generating a file (PDF, SCS, DOC, CSV, TXT) for distribution to IFS, Windows or other Network attached folder, FTP, etc.

CPPD/XML - module facilitating outbound XML transmission. Map spooled files according to schemas, then FTP or email resulting XML

CPPD/DocStore - module facilitating C.O.L.D archiving on System i. Any System i generated document or report can be formatted, indexed and stored on System i, and searched for / retrieved via a web browser

Pre-reqs:

CPPD/Designer - PC GUI application facilitating the construction of design and distribution logic. Fully integrated with CPPD on System i.

CPPD/Server - base software product (required). Facilitates the reformatting and merging of spooled file data with graphical templates, logos, etc. Facilitates the retrieval of additional information from the DB2 database. Facilitates the distribution of resulting documents.

CPPD/Document Management leverages your existing investment in the System i platform. No additional servers are required, no additional databases to maintain. In fact, once the back up of the System i is completed, all your business critical documents are backed up as well, thus reducing your business's compliance risks.
