Work with Subsystem Job Details

When you take any of the options a second dialog is displayed. Most of the information is the same but depending upon the option taken other details, such as function keys, will appear.

Entries

Job Name / Description

The Job Name and a brief description of the job. If this is a Folder Monitor or Job Launcher then the description is taken from the Description of the entry in the Work with... options.

Job Type

The type of Cobwebb job this is i.e. FLRMON = Folder Monitor, SPLMON = Spooled File Monitor etc..

Status

The status of an active job.

Job

The Job Number/User/Name for an active job.

Started

The time the job started.

Job Description / Library

The Job Description and Library associated with the job.

Job Switches

The Job Switches set for the active job. If you have selected Option 2=Change Job then you will see two function keys. F7 to toggle Test mode (switch 7) and F8 to toggle Trace mode (switch 8).

If you use either of these function keys to change the switches you will then need to press F10=Update Switches to apply the changes to the active job.

Message Logging

The current Message Logging Level for the active job. If you have selected Option 2=Change Job then you will see two function keys. F15 to switch to High level logging and F16 to switch back to the default logging for the job. If you press either of these function keys you will see a pop up window asking you to press F10 to confirm the change.

Submit Job Cmd

The command that is used to start the job in the Cobwebb subsystem.

Function keys

F3=Exit

Exits the Work with Cobwebb Subsystem and returns to the CPPD menu, without updating.

F6=Work with Job

If Option 5=Display job has been selected you will see this function key which calls the IBM command WRKJOB for the active job.

F10=Start Job

If Option 1=Start job has been selected you will see this function key for you to confirm that you are happy to start the job.

F10=Update Switches

If Option 2=Change job has been selected you will see this function key for you to update the switches for the active job to the current values displayed.

F10=End Job

If Option 4=Start job has been selected you will see this function key for you to confirm that you are happy to end the job.

F12=Previous

Cancels the Job details screen and returns to the Work with Cobwebb Subsystem, without updating.
